Jos de Haan

Jos de Haan  is head of the research group Time, Media and Culture at the Netherlands Institute for Social Research | SCP and professor of ICT, Culture and Knowledge Society at the Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR).

Marion Duimel

Marion Duimel (1976) works at the Netherlands Institute for Social Research | SCP. With Jos de Haan she wrote ‘New links in the family. The digital world of teenagers and the role of their parents’ (2007). In addition she conducts research on a freelance basis, recently on children and Hyves (a Dutch SNS) and children and mobile phones.

Linda Adrichem

Linda Adrichem (1977) is a PhD candidate at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. Her research concerns communication technology and social cohesion with a special focus on children and families. Before this she conducted research on social behavior in virtual worlds.

Jochen Peter

Jochen Peter is an Associate Professor at the Amsterdam School of Communications Research at the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. A member of the Center for Research on Children, Adolescents, and the Media (www.ccam-ascor.nl), his research interests focus on the socio-psychological consequences of adolescents’ internet use

Patti M. Valkenburg

Patti M. Valkenburg (Ph.D., 1995) is a professor in the Amsterdam School of Communications Research and chair of CCAM, the Center for Research on Children, Adolescents, and the Media of the University of Amsterdam, see www.ccam-ascor.nl. Her research interests include the cognitive, emotional, and social effects of media contents and technologies on young people.
