Dr Renita Thedvall will be visiting CARR for two weeks from 15 March. Renita is a PhD in Social Anthropology and a researcher at Score. Her research is focused on policy processes and organization studies, and she has a particular interest in the construction of markets, social and working-life issues. She is currently involved in a project on fair trade and the organizing of fair markets.
Martin Lodge, Research Theme Director of CARR, will be giving a series of presentations on civil service and public sector reform in the UK to the National Personnel Authority in Japan, from 22-26 March.
Jeanette Hofmann, ESRC Research Officer, is giving a talk on 'Wikipedia between emancipation and self-regulation' at a conference entitled 'Critical Point of view', organized by the Institute of Interactive Media at Amsterdam University, on 26-27 March.
Bridget Hutter, Director of CARR, has been conferred the Award of Academician of the Academy of Social Sciences.
