- Nations & Nationalism
This is the leading scholarly and multi-disciplinary journal in the English-speaking world specifically devoted to the study of nationalism in all areas of the world. Nations and Nationalism is published four times a year by Blackwells. Members of ASEN receive Nations and Nationalism as part of their annual subscription to ASEN.
- Studies in Ethncity & Nationalism
This is a bi-annual publication of the Association containing information on publications, conferences, public lectures and courses in the areas of ethnicity and nationalism, both in the UK and abroad. It also includes short articles on current events.
- ASEN seminars
ASEN members receive regular information about, and priority access to, ASEN seminars and lectures.
- Nationalism Research mailing list
The list was exclusively created for ASEN members and distributes information on conferences, including calls for papers; new publications in the field; scholarships for students and researchers; jobs in academia; and the events organised by ASEN at the LSE, encouraging academic discussion on nationalism research.
- ASEN Conferences
ASEN members are entitled to discounted entrance fees for ASEN conferences. These attract wide and diverse audiences from all over the world. Conference themes have included 'Race and Nation', 'Religion an Nationalism', 'Nationalism and Democracy', 'Nationalism and War' and 'Nationalism and Human Rights'.

How to join
To become a member, please
register online. Payment by credit card is accepted via the safe and secure WorldPay service.
Alternatively, you may print, complete and return a copy of our download application form and return it with a payment form or standing order form to ASEN.
Please note that all membership applications received at this time will be processed for the year 2009. If you wish to register for 2008 ASEN membership, please contact ASEN at asen@lse.ac.uk.
Renewing members should use the Membership Renewal Form. Membership is renewable at the beginning of the calendar year.
