Beatriz Lorenzo is the director of Latin American relations for LSE, a strategic role that comprises representing and coordinating LSE´s broad range of activities in the region. Her responsibilities include promoting research impact, alumni engagement, coordinating high-level faculty and senior management visits, customised business projects and media coverage. Beatriz works with both the public and private sectors to promote and manage LSE´s profile and business activity in Latin America.
Beatriz holds a degree in Business Administration from Universidad Complutense in Madrid and a Masters in Banking and Finance at Escuela de Finanzas Aplicadas. She worked for Analistas Financieros Internacionales (AFI) and subsequently for Caixa Galicia Bank as private banking manager and then business banking manager. During this time she also undertook an Investment Management Programme at Instituto de Empresa (IE Business School) and an Executive MBA at ICADE (Universidad Pontificia de Comillas). Five years later, she moved to London as Director of Caixa Galicia UK’s representative office, and has been based in Santiago de Chile for LSE for the last three years.
