We are delighted to welcome the new Chairman of LSE Enterprise Limited, Richard Wildman. Richard, who took his BSc in Economics at LSE in 1982, is making a welcome return to the School following, amongst other things, 24 years in leadership roles at Accenture.
Richard says: 'I am really excited to join the LSE Enterprise team and to help build on the strong and successful business in place today. LSE is a fantastic institution. The School has a global reputation for innovation and leadership in the field of social sciences; has exceptional academic talent; and delivers world-class research and education. I look forward to playing my part in enabling LSE Enterprise to make a real, tangible difference to the world in which we live and work.'
Richard takes over from Roger Mountford, who served as the company’s chairman for ten years and has seen the concept of a commercial subsidiary evolve from a radical experiment to a higher education norm. During this time LSE Enterprise opened new offices in Madrid and Berlin and greatly expanded its range of work and the countries to which it brings LSE’s expertise.
Chief Executive Simon Flemington says: 'We are very pleased to welcome Richard as the new chairman of LSE Enterprise. His considerable experience in a senior leadership role at Accenture will help drive LSE Enterprise on through the next phase of its development.'
