LSE Enterprise has partnered with the World Economic Forum for the fifth consecutive year to conduct a UK-based executive opinion survey, The Voice of the Business Community. This is a major component of the annual Global Competitiveness Report, which is widely recognised as the world’s leading cross-country comparison of factors affecting economic competitiveness and growth.
The survey provides the key ingredient that turns the Report into a representative annual measure of a nation’s economic environment and its ability to achieve sustained growth. Elitsa Garnizova, Project Officer & Researcher, and Robyn Klingler-Vidra, Senior Researcher, surveyed high-level business executives in the UK for their opinions on the business environment in which they operate. The information they gained covered a broad range of variables for which hard data sources are scarce or nonexistent.
