Update: in 2014 you can take individual modules from the programme. Courses cover responsible banking and responsible finance management: see the PDF for details.
LSE Enterprise and the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles (IEB) have worked together on LSE Executive Education programmes since 2006. This year, they have partnered with the World Savings Bank Institute (WSBI) to launch an international Executive Masters in Responsible Banking, in association with LSE Executive Education.
The one-year programme, taught in English, will begin in March 2013 and be offered primarily online. It will train banking professionals in contributing to a financial system more responsible to society, the environment and the global economy. Students may specialise in retail or corporate banking, or both.
The director of the programme, Jorge Medina Aznar, says that ‘this international programme is a great opportunity to promote the creation of a more ethical and transparent business worldwide, where professionals and banking markets behave more responsibly, avoiding bad banking practices and financial scandals that occurred in recent years, which have damaged so much the image and credibility of financial institutions'.
