Adam Austerfield, Project Director
After graduating in Russian and Eastern European History, Adam took a master's at LSE in Politics and Economics of Transition in Europe. He held positions with Datamonitor and Eastern Europe Consulting Ltd before helping globalise LSE Enterprise since its inception in 1994.
Adam was the Managing Editor of the IDEA-LSE Emerging Markets Today financial markets project for ten years. He has written for the Financial Times Fund Management supplement, Lipper, IDEAglobal, Cinco Dias and other media. He chairs the LSE Alumni Association in Spain, is Vice-President of the British Chamber of Commerce in Spain and is a member of the British Association for Central and Eastern Europe, the Royal Society for Asian Affairs and the International Institute for Innovation and Productivity.
He has provided customised executive education and consulting for LSE Enterprise clients including Caja Madrid, la Caixa, MAPFRE, BBVA, Santander, the Stock Exchange Institute of Madrid, the UK Department of International Development, the European Commission, Diputacion of Bizkaia, World Bank, INAP, Abertis, Patronat Catalunya Mon, MediaPro SL, University of Ljubliana and many others.
Alessa Ward, Deputy Project Director
After graduating in History from University College London, Alessa worked at the British Library. In 2007 she moved to LSE Enterprise, where she works on a range of Spanish executive education and consultancy projects. Alessa has considerable experience in running long-term training programmes. She leads the Spanish project implementation team and is involved in facilitating course delivery around the world.
Usoa Agirre Retolaza, Project Manager
After graduating in Economics from The Basque University, Usoa worked at a small consultancy in Bilbao. In 2009 she was one of the participants attending an Executive Education course at LSE. In 2010 she moved to LSE Enterprise, where she works on a range of executive education and consultancy projects focused on Spain. She is involved in facilitating course deliveries in Spain and the UK.
Usoa has experience in running long-term training programmes and has supported programmes including the Young Professional Programme for Cajastur and the European Political Economy and Finance Programme for the Diputación Foral de Bizkaia.
Maria Milià-Isasa, Project Officer
Maria is a project officer at LSE Enterprise, involved in facilitating course deliveries in Spain and the UK. Maria graduated in Business Administration and Management from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. She worked in the planning department of a retail company in Barcelona during her last year. After graduating she was selected to participate in the Spanish Chamber of Commerce’s Graduate European Programme and joined LSE Enterprise in London.
