LSE would like to invite you to a public lecture on Biscay, the Bay of Europe: prosperity through values, on Monday 8 May 2017.

The lecture, held at the Shaw Library, Old Building, will be given by Mr Unai Rementeria, President of the Government of Biscay:

"This unique event will provide an insight into the reasons for the prosperous development of the Biscay province during an era of economic challenges in Europe."

Mr Unai Rementeria began his professional career in 1999, as Secretary-Comptroller of Nabarniz Town Council. He has worked as a lawyer in Administrative Law and as an advisor in Urban Planning, Environmental and Administrative Law, alongside work in the private sector.

In addition to the lecture, LSE will be presenting the report Industrial Strategy in Practice: Innovation and Management Best Practices in the Automobile, Energy and Aerospace Clusters in Bizkaia written by Dr Alexander Grous, Department of Media and Communications, LSE.

The event will be chaired by Professor Iain Begg, European Institute, LSE.
