Dr Zhikai Wang was a Visiting Fellow at the LSE Asia Research Centre.
He is Professor of Economics and PhD Supervisor at Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China. In 1993 he became a civil servant working for the Jiangsu provincial government at the Development & Reform Commission in Nanjing. Dr Wang moved to Zhejiang University in 2002 and now serves as the Deputy Head of the Department of Public Finance at the University. Dr Wang was a World Bank Consultant and concurrently an Asian Development Bank Consultant during 2009-2010. He is a member of the Expert Committee of the Tianhe Institute of Economics and the Journal of Taxation Research. Dr Wang is also a member of the SNoW network for Sino-Nordic Welfare and Social Policy Research and is a lecturer for the SNoW PhD course at the Nordic Centre, Fudan University.
