Congratulations on being offered a place on one of our MSc or MRes/PhD programmes and welcome to the Department of Anthropology!
By now you will have received official notification from the Graduate Admissions Office advising you of your successful application and providing you with further information about the school. These pages are designed to introduce you specifically to the department and our courses, and we hope they will answer most of the questions that you may have.
These pages will list information about each programme, the courses that are on offer (including preliminary reading lists), induction information and other relevant information as it becomes available over the coming months. Please check the site regularly to ensure you have up-to-date information.
Our MSc programmes are intensive introductions to anthropology, and over the years students have found the courses both challenging and rewarding. Students in our MRes/PhD conduct ethnographic research in a wide range of field contexts and contribute actively to the vibrant intellectual environment in the department. We hope you will enjoy an outstanding learning experience at the LSE.
