Student Hub

5 things you might not know about the Student Hub app

Download the Student Hub app before you arrive on campus

The Student Hub is LSE’s app, designed to help you navigate your day-to-day life at LSE.

You can download the Student Hub from 15 August to start connecting with your department and coursemates, and get information to help you familiarise yourself with everything that LSE has to offer.

With the Student Hub, you can view your timetable and upcoming deadlines, find your way around campus and keep up to date with news and events from your Department and the wider School.

You can also book appointments with academics or support services, and create groups with friends to carry on the conversation outside of class.

Download the Student Hub app on iOS or Android, or access the web app at studenthub.lse.ac.uk.

NB: All postgraduate students will automatically be able to download the Student Hub from 15 August. Undergraduate students will be able to download the Student Hub from 15 August once they have accepted their offer.

The new Student Hub app has loads of features for you to use, but here are some extra useful ones you might not yet know about:

1. You can create your own groups

Tap on the chat icon and tap on the red plus button to start a new chat. You can search for your friends to chat 1-2-1 or start a group chat by going to My groups and creating a brand new group for your friend circle or classmates!

2. You can sync your calendar with all your devices

Ever noticed the three dots on the top right of your calendar screen? Tap on these to find out how to sync your calendar and timetables with your personal devices, then just follow the instructions to get set up!

3. You can discover everything LSE has to offer

Did you know the Department of Accounting is on the Hub? Start searching for any pages (ie, Accounting) or groups you're interested in by using the search bar at the top of your feed. And if you can't see what you're looking to join, you can start your own group, or share your feedback about what you think would be a useful page to have on the app using the feedback function.

4. You can keep up to date with LSE's public events programme

LSE Events are now on the Hub so you can follow and attend the world famous events and lectures at LSE. Search for "LSE Events" on the Hub to follow them and keep up to date with all the exciting events coming up this term and beyond!

5. You can get directions to anywhere on campus (or to any halls!)

Go to Campus Mapping and tap on the building you want to go to, or use the search bar to find it. You can then see what's in each building, from the departments and services to the teaching and study spaces. To get directions, tap on the "Get Directions" button and Google Maps will show you the way. If your Get directions button is greyed-out, open your Settings on your iPhone and go to Privacy > Location Services > Student Hub > and choose While Using the App. For Android, make sure your location setting is on.

Haven't downloaded the Hub yet? Search for LSE Student Hub in Apple or Google Play app stores, or access the web app on your tablet or laptop here.
