Lucy Zhu was a Visiting Research Student at the LSE Saw Swee Hock Southeast Asia Centre for the 2015 summer period. She was working as a research assistant for Professor Danny Quah through the Madeleine Korbel Albright Institute of Global Affairs, of which she was a 2015 Fellow.
Lucy is a 2015 graduate of Wellesley College in Boston, USA, where she studied economics. Besides completing a diverse liberal arts curriculum at Wellesley, she has also taken courses at MIT Sloan School of Management and spent a semester abroad at the University of Edinburgh.
Last summer, she interned with Ernst & Young's business consulting practice in the financial services sector in New York. Previously, she spent two summers interning in China with the United States Trade Representative at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing and the China Market Research Group in Shanghai. She was very excited for the opportunity to study the dynamic Eastern-Western economic relationship from an international relations perspective this summer.
