AI UK Fringe Event – PBS Workshop: When you combine behavioural insights with AI – How can you make sure you are influencing ethically?

Tuesday 26 March 2024, 6-7.15pm
LSE Centre Building, Room 2.06 (CBG.2.06)

Workshop panel: Professor Liam Delaney, Annabel Gillard, Dr Stuart Mills

This is expected to be a highly sought event with a very limited capacity. Please book your ticket here to avoid dissapointment.

AI is a gamechanger in the exercise of behavioural insights and behavioural insights offer the potential to deliver individualised experience for those using AI. The ability to personalise at scale, adapted in real time, creates new responsibilities and concerns, especially in a world where trust is harder to come by.

In this interactive workshop we will identify the benefits of embedding a trustworthy and ethical approach to behaviourally informed influence, experiment with the FORGOOD framework for managing these issues and operationalising trustworthy influence at an organisational level, and cross-reference these conceptual theories with the experience of dealing with issues that emerge in practice. We will seek to test this approach for impact and iterate an effective mechanism for ethical influence. Ideally recruits to this workshop will include academics involved in behavioural science and AI and those involved in product development, user experience and behavioural design in a corporate setting.
