This month's episode of the award-winning LSE IQ podcast takes a looks at Russia's relations with the West and asks "Are we entering a new Cold War?"

The poisoning of former Russian double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia in Salisbury shocked the world. It was the first use of a military-grade nerve agent in Europe since the second world war and led to the biggest ever Western expulsion of Russian diplomats. US intelligence agencies have also concluded that Russia interfered in the 2016 US election.

In this episode, we talk to Anne Applebaum, Professor in Practice at LSE's Institute of Global Affairs (IGA), Peter Pomerantsev, Visiting Senior Fellow at the IGA, and Cristian Nitoiu, Associate Fellow at LSE's foreign policy think tank, LSE IDEAS.

Each episode of LSE IQ sees a range of LSE academics, and other experts, line up to give their perspective on one timely question.
