Due to the Coronavirus - COVID-19 situation, the Department of Methodology has cancelled Methods Surgery sessions scheduled to take place during Lent Term.
Methods Surgery sessions will be held online during Summer Term. Updates regarding this will be made available in due course.
The Department of Methodology offers a walk-in 'methods surgery' for staff, postgraduate taught and postgraduate research students. Those with any methods-related problems can drop in for advice and guidance.
Two members of staff, one with a background in quantitative methods and the other in qualitative methods, will be present at each session to help with a range of methodological problems.
The methods surgery is offered weekly during term-time on Thursdays 10am-12pm in the PhD Academy on the 4th floor of the Lionel Robins Building. Please note that entrance is only via the Portugal Street side and the PhD Academy cannot be accessed via the LSE Library.
This service is based on a first-come, first-served policy.
No appointment is necessary, but it is essential to sign up on Moodle beforehand to give further details of the methods query you have.
Please note the methods surgeries do not run during the summer period. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you need advice.
