About me

Eleni is an Associate Fellow of the HEA and has a Ph.D. in Functional Analysis (Musielak-Orlicz sequence spaces) from the University of Memphis and a MSc in European Political Economy from LSE.

Eleni has held Teaching Fellowship positions at UCL and Quenn Mary as well as various educational roles at LSE, where she works since 2006.

In the period 2014-2017, she was a Course Teacher at the LSE Department of Mathematics, lecturing Probability for Finance (MA313), Differential Equations (MA209) and Real Analysis course for the LSE Summer School, for which she was the course convenor until 2021.

Starting in 2014, she developed the round table model, an active-learning course design for teaching and learning mathematics. The round table model was successfully implemented for a number of years in MA203, MA209 and ME306. This innovative work resulted to two teaching awards in 2016, namely, the LSESU Award for Innovative Teaching  and an LSE Excellence in Education Award.

Prior to joining LSE, Eleni was a resesarch fellow in the Basic Research Institute in the Mathematical- Sciences (BRIMS) at Hewlett-Packard Labs in Bristol and in the Department of Control Optimisation and Stochastics at Delft University of Technology.
