Sarah Thomson

Biography

Dr Sarah Thomson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Policy and a Senior Research Associate with the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies. She is currently seconded to the World Health Organization, where she works as a Senior Health Financing Specialist at the WHO Barcelona Office for Health Systems Strengthening. Sarah is a member of the European Commission’s Expert Panel on Effective Ways of Investing in Health and associate editor of Health Economics, Policy and Law (Cambridge University Press). Her work focuses on comparative health systems policy analysis in high- and middle-income countries.
