Research activities

SSCR is working to ensure high-quality evidence exists to help social care develop - now and in future. Phase II is now underway with several new projects to be commissioned shortly.

Who's who

Led by Professor Martin Knapp (LSE, pictured), the SSCR is a partnership between six leading social care research centres in England and many more universities and other organisations.

Commissioned outputs from studies are available on our main website. See Scoping Reviews,  Method ReviewsResearch Findings, and Insights. There are also a number of presentations and articles.

Generating impact

Research must be translated into practice to ensure the research we fund has real impact. Findings are presented at major conferences, reaching a wider audience.
