As part of EMI-net, MTRG has supported the EU Commission in its mandate to increase knowledge sharing and learning among Member States through a number of projects investigating topical issues in the pharmaceutical sector. These include work on managed entry agreements to enhance patient access to new medicines, a comparison of the long and short term impact of value-based pricing and external reference pricing, distribution systems and tendering for outpatient pharmaceuticals. Further, on request of the European Parliament, it delivered a state of the art report on differences in costs of and access to pharmaceutical products in the EU.
