Professor Ricky Burdett, LSE


Ricky Burdett is Professor of Urban Studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), Head of the Department of Sociology and Director of LSE Cities and the Urban Age programme. He is also a Global Distinguished  Professor at New York University. He was Chief Adviser on Architecture and Urbanism for the London 2012 Olympics and an adviser to the Olympic Legacy Park Company. Burdett is also a member of the UK Government’s Airports Commission and represents No 10 Downing Street on the Steering Committee for the £50m Old Street innovation hub in London
