As well as being one of the world’s leading social science institutes, LSE also boasts a vibrant campus, with a variety of activities and facilities for students to enjoy. Based in the heart of London, LSE has been home to a number of Nobel Prize winners, heads of state, senior politicians, and figures from the media and the arts.
LSE's Students' Union provides students with volunteering opportunities, a host of social activities, as well as support and advice services. LSE SU is based in the school's new Saw Swee Hock Student Centre, and offers a number of services including a media centre, gym and dance studio, a multifaith prayer centre, and a pub.
Along with the IPA’s Policy in Practice seminars, LSE also holds over 100 public lectures per term through its Public Lecture Programme. The events are free and open to all, ensuring that LSE students are always exposed to leading research and opinion.
