I am a British Council scholar pursuing the MPA in Public & Economic Policy. I was born in Mumbai, India, and completed a Bachelors in Management Studies (BMS) prior to joining LSE. I was awarded the ‘Principal’s special award’ and ‘Student of the year award’ for excellence in academics and extracurricular activities. I have actively participated and assumed leadership roles in various community service and nation building organisations. After my Bachelors degree, I worked for six years in strategy and risk consulting across different sectors and geographies. My work was recognized with the ‘Abbott award for Excellence’ for exemplary performance in consulting assignments.
The IPA is a melting pot of cultures which fosters and encourages peer-learning. This is further complemented by a strong focus on academic rigour and discourse by the IPA's learned faculty. The IPA's multi-disciplinary character means that it is a hub for social sciences and an ideal place to learn the 'nuts and bolts' of policy making and public administration. Whilst I pursue my MPA, I also work part time with the Department of Economics (STICERD) at LSE. LSE's Department of Economics is the ‘Mecca’ of Economics and working there has augmented my overall learning experience. After my MPA, I intend to work in education and social infrastructure.
