I’m Canadian and completed a BComm and a Certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility from Queen’s University, Canada in 2010. Before joining LSE, I spent a year in Sierra Leone working with CAUSE Canada’s Salone Women’s Empowerment Trust, a microcredit and business development programme. I helped to build the organisation's capacity by providing technical support to facilitate growth in line with best practices and holistic development goals. I also interned with the Botswana-Baylor Children’s Clinical Centre of Excellence's Teen Club Programme, a support group for HIV-positive adolescents. While there I co-authored a report published by UNICEF and the University of Botswana.
During my time at the IPA I’ve enjoyed exploring London and its markets, running along the canal, going to Zumba classes, sampling local food, and absorbing knowledge from my colleagues and professors. I particularly appreciate my new tendency to apply game theory to all aspects of life, but my favourite thing about the programme is undoubtedly its fantastic and internationally diverse student body. I sit on the LSESU MPASA Executive Committee as the Philanthropy Officer and I’m a founding member of the MPA Consulting Group, which aims to connect MPA students with pro-bono consulting opportunities. In the past year I undertook pro-bono consulting work through OxAID for an organisation called Building Markets, creating a customer service curriculum geared toward entrepreneurs in developing countries.
