I am Mexican and hold a BA in Political Science and International Relations from the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Académicas (CIDE). Before coming to LSE, I worked at the Federal Electoral Institute (IFE), an autonomous public organisation responsible for organising federal elections in Mexico, as an Advisor, and specialised in electoral logistics and civic education. I am also a founding member of “Participando por Mexico”, an NGO dedicated to encouraging citizens to engage with and to build solutions to the problems facing their communities.
So far, the MPA has been a great experience. In my opinion, there are four elements that help to make the programme remarkable:
-
A intelligent combination of theoretical courses that fit together to provide quantitative and analytical skills to frame the discussion of public problems
-
Classmates from across the world and from a number of different professional backgrounds, which fosters the exchange of ideas and great debates
-
Constant support from the Institute of Public Affairs, taking care of students and providing the best of LSE to complement their academic life: including conferences, Policy in Practice seminars, and social events (amongst others)
-
London is a great place to study and experience the leading trends in public policy.
