More Information

Welcome to the Institute of Public Affairs

The Institute of Public Affairs (IPA) is one of the world's leading centres of public policy. Our work encompasses postgraduate teaching, research and a programme of highly innovative activities to engage policy-making, political and corporate audiences, as well as the general public, in the co-creation of knowledge.

Teaching Programmes

Our teaching programmes provide exceptional training in public policy-making and analysis, together with practical insight into the real world. We offer a full-time two year Master of Public Administration (MPA), an Executive MPA designed to meet the needs of working professionals and, from December 2015, an Executive Master of Public Policy created exclusively for the UK Civil Service.

We research in key areas of public policy, including active projects on climate justice, Women in Public Life, the tradition of 'One Nation' Britain, Constitutions and Nations, and higher education and universities. Learn more

Our engagement tools communicate our research so that our findings can be applied in the real world for public benefit. Learn more
