Anikka is a Canadian working in the UK for the House of Commons, the lower house of the UK’s legislature. She leads a team who specialise in communicating the work of the organisation to the media to improve public understanding of its work. Prior to joining the House of Commons, Anikka worked at the UK Branch of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association undertaking outreach on behalf of the UK Parliament with a focus on parliamentary diplomacy and parliamentary strengthening. With a background in corporate communications and international relations, Anikka has worked for the Canadian Government and a number of international NGOs to communicate their work to the public. She has diverse policy interests ranging from cultural industry to agriculture and is passionate about good governance, strengthening democratic institutions, and promoting active citizenship.
