Functional Specialist in SAP Budget

Sara is an IT/Functional specialist at UNESCO, one of the United Nations' 15 specialised agencies. Working in Paris, France, Sara is responsible for UNESCO's Funds Management, Project System and Positon Budgeting and Control systems. She leads team members in the implementation of IT solutions and provides guidance to business owners in business process and systems improvements in the ERP/SAP system of UNESCO. Sara has extensive experience working for the Canadian Government where she implemented IT solutions using ERP SAP Public Service Solution. A Mexican-Canadian, Sara started her public service career with the Mexican Government as support staff to the Director of Human Resources for the ISSTE (Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales para los Trabajadores del Estado). She completed a professional degree in Political Science and Public Administration at the UNAM (National University of Mexico), also a Computer Programming Diploma at Algonquin College in Canada. Although her professional experience has been in the IT field, She is interested in the role of International Organisations in Economic Development and Political Economy.
