Miona is a Serbian and French national. She is a researcher and lecturer at the Chair of Entrepreneurship at ESCP Europe in Paris. Miona works on factors which have led to the underperformance of the venture capital industry in France. Before joining ESCP in 2013, she spent eight years working in the financial industry. Miona started her career as a consultant at Deloitte, Belgrade, where she worked on privatisation and restructuring of publicly owned companies. Later as M&A consultant within PricewaterhouseCoopers in Paris, she helped SMEs find industrial or financial partners. Finally, she spent three years in a major US insurance company, FM Global, where she was responsible for spearheading the development of the risk consulting practice for large international clients. Miona has a master’s degree in Finance and has a particular interest in public policies aiming to promote entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial education and SME financing.
