Adjoa is a Research Associate for the Africa Programme at Chatham House, also known as the Royal Institute of International Affairs. She leads the Africa Programme’s Research on East Africa, and has a particular focus on the politics of Kenya and Tanzania. She has appeared as an expert witness before the UK Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee and the House of Lords European Union Committee, and provided Research expertise to the International Taskforce on Piracy Ransom Payments. Adjoa has conducted Research in East and West Africa, and in the Indian Ocean aboard the flagship of NATO’s counter-Piracy mission.  She is increasingly interested in public policies related to inclusive development, open governance and technological innovation.
