Sayed has more than a decade of experience working on governance and anti-corruption issues in Afghanistan. He is currently working as Executive Director at Integrity Watch Afghanistan – a leading Afghan non-governmental organisation doing policy research, monitoring, and advocacy for transparency, accountability and anti-corruption. As Executive Director of Integrity Watch, Sayed is heavily involved in policy analysis and advocacy on governance issues in the sectors such construction, extractives, justice, and education. He has led campaigns on right to information, social accountability, budget transparency, illicit financial flows, and improving aid transparency in Afghanistan. He has worked closely with national and international organisations to advocate for establishing governance frameworks for key areas such extractives industries and public finance management
