Mouhamadou is a lawyer with extensive experience in international investment, trade and development. He is currently an international civil servant working as Senior Legal Counsel for the Islamic Development Bank (IDB). Mouhamadou’s role involves collaborating with senior management, technical departments and member countries of the Bank in designing appropriate legal and policy solutions for financing high-impact sovereign and non-sovereign development projects in key sectors of international development, including infrastructure, agriculture and food security, human development and capacity building. Before joining the IDB, he worked in academia and also as consultant/ research assistant for the International Trade Centre UNCTAD/WTO, where he participated in various trade/ legal advisory projects and initiatives for strengthening the capacity of national trade and arbitration institutions and ensuring better integration of developing countries into the multilateral trade system. Mouhamadou holds a PhD in public international law/international investment arbitration, as well as a Master Degree in International Economic Relations Law both obtained from the university of Cergy-Pontoise.
