How to Apply

All applications should be submitted via email to the Academic Director of LSE IDEAS, Dr. Svetozar Rajak, at: s.rajak@lse.ac.uk|.

Visiting Senior Fellowship: Applicants should submit the following

  • Updated academic CV with a list of publications
  • Research plan of up to 600 words

Visiting Fellowship: Applicants should submit the following

  • Updated academic CV with list of publications
  • Research plan of up to 600 words
  • One reference letter from a senior academic. Reference letter should be sent via email directly to the LSE IDEAS Academic Director, Dr Svetozar Rajak.

Visiting Research Studentship: Applicants should submit the following

  • Completed Visiting Research Student Request to Appoint Form
  • Updated academic CV with list of publications
  • Short abstract of thesis of up to 600 words
  • Research plan of up to 600 words
  • Two academic references, one of which must be from your thesis supervisor. Reference letters should be sent via email directly to the LSE IDEAS Academic Director, Dr Svetozar Rajak.

 

 

Application Procedure and Outcome

The Academic Director of LSE IDEAS refers Visiting Professor, Visiting Senior Fellow and Visiting Fellow applications to the LSE IDEAS Management Committee, for approval or rejection. Applications approved by the Management Committee are forwarded to the LSE Appointments Committee for final confirmation.

Upon referral from the LSE IDEAS Academic Director, the LSE IDEAS Management Committee makes the final decision on all Visiting Research Student applications.

The processing and decision-making procedure regarding Visiting Professor, Visiting Senior Fellow and Visiting Fellow applications may take between one and three months. Please note that the LSE Appointments Committee decides on new applications on four occasions during the academic year.

Visiting Research Student applications are processed and a decision made usually within one month.
