Applications for the 2014 Mladena and Dianko Sotirov Fellowship are now CLOSED.
The LSE IDEAS is pleased to announce the establishment of the Mladena and Dianko Sotirov Visiting Fellowship, thanks to the generous endowment by Mrs Mladena Sotirov.
Recipients of this Fellowship will be working within the LSE IDEAS Balkan Initiative – which aims to promote the understanding of the recent history and the international affairs of the region, the challenges it faces today and the prospects of tomorrow.
This Fellowship amounts to £3000 and should cover a two (maximum three) month stay in London anytime between June - September 2013, namely travel expenses, accommodation and subsistence. The recipient will have access to shared office space at the LSE IDEAS Centre and enjoy privileges of the LSE Fellow, including access to the LSE Library, its IT resources and to all events organised at the LSE
This visiting fellowship is intended to provide support, primarily but nor exclusively, to scholars in the early stages of their career, namely doctoral candidates and post-doctoral whose work and research focuses on any topic related to the history and international affairs of Bulgaria and the Balkans in the Twentieth Century and beyond.
