Tuesday 28 January 2014, 6.30 - 8.00pm, Hong Kong Theatre, Clement House
Speaker: Yasmin Green; Chair: Professor Arne Westad
Everywhere we look, we see that connectivity is transforming the way individuals, organizations, and states interact. For all that has been reported about 'cyber attacks' and 'hacktivism', we are only just beginning to grasp how these changes have influenced our capacity for conflict and collaboration. Yasmin Green, Head of Strategy and Operations at Google Ideas, explores the role of technology to both harm and protect in our new digital age.
Yasmin Green is the Head of Strategy and Operations for Google Ideas. She also oversees the team’s work on counter-radicalization and fragile states. At Google, Yasmin has assumed roles as Head of Sales Strategy and Operations for Southern Europe, Middle East, and Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa Operations Manager, and prior to joining Google, she consulted for Booz Allen Hamilton across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Professor Arne Westad is Director of LSE IDEAS.
