For almost forty years, Malcolm Rifkind served at the forefront of British politics. In this lecture, Sir Malcolm gave a lively account of his involvement in some of recent history’s most important events - such early meetings between Thatcher and Gorbachev, and secret negotiations with the Argentine government on the Falklands Islands.
This event marked the launch of Sir Malcolm's new book, Power and Pragmatism: The Memoirs of Malcolm Rifkind.
