Tuesday 13 November 2012, 6:30pm
BOX, 5th Floor Tower Three, London School of Economics
Speaker: Tan Sri Dr Munir Majid, Chair: Professor Arne Westad.
Following the gruesome 9/11 terrorist attack on America, the Bush administration launched the war on terror in which Muslims became the targets and the victims.
Muslims were seen as the enemy because of the 9/11, a view reinforced by other acts of terror by Muslim terrorists before and after 9/11. This book fundamentally condemns the use of overwhelming American power against Muslims and their countries, and laments that US leadership was not exercised to address the injustices suffered by Muslims. The world could have been moved to become a better place after 9/11. Instead what followed was the attack on Muslims.
