Visiting Researcher

Yao Bin is visiting the Grantham Research Institute for the Lent Term of 2014 (January - April)


Yao Bin is the Deputy Director of the International Finance Division, Research Bureau at the People's Bank of China. He received his PhD at Fudan University in Shanghai, majoring in International Finance. He also has a Masters degree majoring in Automation control at Tongji University in Shanghai. He has been working in the PBoC since 2007 in Beijing.

From 2007-2012, Yao worked in the Financial Stability Bureau and has been involved in the first China FSAP (Financial Sector Assessment Program) stress test with the close collaboration of the IMF/WB.

Since 2012, Yao has been assigned to take part in low carbon finance policy making and has written several important reports as the reference for policy making.
