Thailand Energy Efficiency Development Plan 2015-2036

The Energy Efficiency Plan 2015- 2036 (EEP 2015) sets a target for energy intensity reduction of 30% by 2036 (baseline 2010), thus increasing the target from 25% by 2030 that has been set by the 2011 version of the EEP.

The plan promotes energy conservation in factories, buildings, and public buildings through additional fees on excessive electrical use (based on a Ministry of Energy’s standard). It also requires reporting of energy use per area for new buildings.
