Heavy Metal in Baghdad

Hosted by LSE Festival: New World (Dis)Orders

Wolfson Theatre, New Academic Building

Chair

Dr Sara Camacho-Felix

Much of the current geo-political climate and (dis)order, especially in the Middle East, connects back to the events around 9/11 and its aftermath, including the USA and UK’s decision to invade Iraq. This documentary allows for Acrassicauda, the first Iraqi heavy metal band, to tell that story through the lens of everyday citizens.

Dr Sara Camacho-Felix is Learning Developer at LSE LIFE.
