The Department of Economic History offers five MSc programmes lasting one year full-time or two years part-time, for those who have already studied economic history at first degree level, or for those who have studied a related discipline and whose interests have moved towards economic history. The wide range of courses, combined with the compulsory research dissertation, enables students to compile a programme to meet their particular requirements.

Department of Methodology

The Department of Methodology is an interdisciplinary group which provides training for MSc and PhD students in the design of social research and in qualitative and quantitative analysis. While Methodology courses are open to all LSE students taking MSc or PhD programmes you should discuss this with your academic supervisor first.

Methodology also offer regular drop-in surgery sessions for methods related queries, details of which can be found here.

LSE Language Centre
