Dr Chris Tennant

I worked for 25 years in the financial services industry in London before taking a Masters course and then studying for a doctorate at the LSE. My original undergraduate degree was in classical languages and philosophy, and I subsequently qualified as a Chartered Accountant.

My research examines the debate over climate change, both at the public level and also at the interpersonal level. My continuing research interests are the interplay between moral values and rational explanation; media representation of contested issues; trust and accountability; Alan P. Fiske’s Relational Models theory and Mary Douglas’ Cultural Theory.

I have been responsible for redesigning the LSE’s PS102 introductory social psychology course and now co-convene its delivery. View the introduction video
