Project Description: Iam working on a PhD thesis on the relationship between reasons and motivation as part of an effort to bridge the gap between the modelling of choice in decision theory and the philosophical literature on motivation. My interests include, in particular: the debate between psychologism and non-psychologism; the debate between Humeanism and anti-Humeanism; and the nature of the relationships between (a) belief, desire and motivation and (b) motivations and reasons.
