Educated in a multicultural and bilingual environment, I spent my formative years in Rome where I am currently facing the end of the equivalent of a MA in Philosophy at the University of Roma Tre. I will defend my thesis in March 2015 under the supervision of Prof. M. Morganti.

Project Description: The general ambit of my research project lies within the Scientific Realism/Antirealism dialectic.
I will focus on the notion of truth within Scientific Progress as intended by Popper and Kuhn. Moreover, I will take into consideration the concept of truthlikeness (mainly focusing on the work of Niiniluoto) which openly faces the controversy aroused by the pursuit of truth along the path of scientific progress.
My aim is to try to give a coherent appraisal of the concepts of truth and truthlikeness from both a metaphysical and epistemological perspective and subsequently analyse how such philosophical enquiries may be employed in the process of conceiving future social and human development in a more aware fashion.
