Project Description: Alexander's postdoc research largely explores epistemological questions and combines a range of disciplines including the history of science and philosophy, the broad range of the social sciences, epistemology and, among others, modern statistical methods. By integrating methods and perspectives from these disciplines one area of his focus while with CPNSS is outlining the epistemic limitations of science in identifying causalities in the social world and thus in making predictions about human behaviour and social outcomes.
