Project Title: Objectivity in the interpretations of probability

Project Description: During my stay at the LSE I will explore how the concept of objectivity is used in different interpretations of probability. Objectivity is often invoked in favour of one approach and against others, with different version of the concept doing this same job for different interpretations. I will collect these different uses and try and map them to a general philosophical analysis of the concept. I will try and characterise part of the spectrum of interpretations of probability as a clash of different approaches to objectivity, and evaluate which sort of objectivity best serves different applications of probability.
