Democracy, Business and Human Well-Being

The Research Programme in Democracy, Business and Human Well-Being analyses the effects of democratic institutions on human well-being and the dynamics of business.

The project has received financial support from the Fundazione Bonino-Pulejo. The research involves both theoretical development and practical applications.

To achieve these aims, the programme takes an interdisciplinary perspective based on the rational choice model; the analysis of institutions; and the assessment of relevant case studies. In its first year, the programme's workshops bring together eminent scholars in the areas of economics, philosophy, political science and business.
