Research on causality - what it is and how we find out about it - is well established in the Centre. There have been multiple research projects on this topic, looking at:
-
What is the nature of causality?
-
What are valid methods for causal inference?
-
Which methods of causal inference are suited to which contexts?
Work takes diverse forms: seminars, conferences with invited speakers and the publication of a large number of discussion papers.
Recent work has concentrated on three fields: economics, health/medicine and biology. The following are the causality-related projects at the Centre; the last three are currently active.
