On 15 September 2016, a celebration of Chinese Mid-autumn Festival was held at the Confucius Institute for Business London (CIBL). Guests began arriving at CIBL at 12:00 and the event started with an opening speech from CIBL’s UK director Dr Neil Mclean, who talked about what he knew about the festival and welcomed everyone to the event. Next, CIBL student Giden Gaotel made a presentation to help everyone learn more about the traditional food and customs of the festival. The presentation concluded with Giden’s reciting of a poetry. People enjoyed mooncakes and snacks together. The event was very successful thanks to the efforts of the CIBL team and the guests enjoyed the chance to learn more about Chinese culture.
