On 14 October 2016, the second International BCT (Business Chinese Test) Conference was successfully held at the Confucius Institute for Business London, CIBL. Dr. Che Wenbing (coordinator of the Chinese department at Oxford Brookes), Dr. Song Lianyi (SOAS senior lecturer), Ms Li Yanan and Ms Huang Lei (the Chinese testing department at Hanban headquarter), Dr. Lu Hong (CIBLdeputy director), Dr. Jerome Zhang (CIBL coordinating Teacher), Dr Li Ping (CIBL Chinese teacher), Ms.Zhang Xiaolin, Dr Yang Yuhui and Mr Chen Jingxi attended the conference.
The conference topic was the internationalisation and prospects of the BCT. The participants discussed several important issues, including the analysis of BCT`s market demand and research data, test improvements and development, standardised test management, BCT`s marketing model, and the present feedback from participants of the BCT. The attendants also compared the BCT with BEC and HSK, prospecting its future development direction.
This was the second meeting of a series of International BCT Conferences that being held at CIBL in 2016. The meetings have been a great success and a have laid a firm foundation for larger scales conferences on the BCT planned for 2017.
